CJAAA Announces 2002-03 Scholarship Recipients
The California Japanese American Alumni Association proudly announces the scholarship award winners for the 2002-03 academic year. CJAAA received a record number of applications and the scholarship committee was pleased with the high achievement from various disciplines and nearly all UC campuses. Six scholarships and four honorable mention awards were given. Christopher A. Lock, whose initials are appropriately C.A.L., received the Mo Noguchi Memorial Award as the top candidate.

The winners were presented with their awards at the CJAAA Big Game Dinner on November 23, 2002 at the Berkeley Radisson Hotel. Each winner in attendance spoke and impressed the audience with their scholastic achievements and community service records.
The 2002-03 CJAAA Scholarship Committee members were Ron Yamada (chair), Emiko Yamada, Trevor Nakagawa, Neal Taniguchi, Jesse Ante, Leslie Siler, Katherine Yoshii, Mark Abey, and Kara Takeuchi.
