| THE California Japanese American Alumni Association mission is to provide academic sholarships, fellowships, and internships to undergraduate and graduate students of Japanese American ancestry enrolled at the University of California campuses. It is also our interest to contribute to the individual and collective welfare of these students in their academic communities.
The CJAAA Board of Trustees currently manages a trust fund in excess of $300,000. Proceeds from investment and interest earned are distributed by annual student scholarship and internship awards, plus used to promote CJAAA member activities such as the Big Game Dinner and special events. The association is also solicited from time to time to make charitable contributions to other student and community groups and the Board of Trustees grants approval for such donations in keeping with its overall mission.
CJAAA is registered as a nonprofit organization in the state of California and accepts charitable contributions to its scholarship fund.
